I'm a breeder, but even when we challenge a gym they're the ones doing the fighting, not me, so they know things about the fight that I don't. I give them advice and tell them where their opponent is if it's trying to hide from them, and Golurk can't come up with ideas for what to do in a fight other than punching so it needs me to tell it what it should do a lot, but I usually don't need to do anything but watch and heal them when they need me to.

Yeah, most of the Pokémon who are with me are pretty fast, and they often like to do fast things.
